As the end of the season quickly approaches, the intensity of the competition accelerates as Korthoff Preston Motorsports heads to Wisconsin, where they will compete in the fourth of five rounds in IMSA’s Sprint Cup. Heading into the weekend, Korthoff Preston Motosports’s No. 32 Mercedes-AMG is currently in third place in team points for the GTD category of IMSA’s SportsCar Championship. This impressive standing reflects the team’s resilience and ability to overcome a series of challenges throughout the season, showcasing their determination and skill.
In the early 1950s, the state introduced a piece of legislation that brought street racing in Elkhart Lake to a halt. As a response, leaders of the local SCCA engineered plans for a permanent racecourse spanning 640 acres. What emerged was a 4 mile race course laced with 14 turns, which largely retains its original design to this day. This racecourse has earned a reputation as one of the most demanding and exciting tracks in the world. Road America’s challenging design continues to attract drivers and fans alike, cementing its status as a premier destination in the world of motorsports. Korthoff Preston Motorsports is excited to face the challenge and solidify their presence in the fight for first place in the SportsCar Championship.
