KORTHOFF PRESTON MOTORSPORTS FINISHES 3RD IN THE 2024 IMSA WEATHERTECH SPORTSCAR CHAMPIONSHIP FOR THE GTD CATEGORY

The 27th Annual Motul Petit Le Mans delivered a thrilling spectacle filled with drama and surprises, serving as the climactic 10-hour finale of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Renowned for its punishing endurance format and complex technical demands, the race kept fans on the edge of their seats. Intense action unfolded across all categories, with multiple lead changes, strategic pit stops, and challenging nighttime conditions combining to create a nail-biting conclusion to the season.



For the No. 32 Mercedes-AMG, the 2024 Petit Le Mans was a true testament to the skills and teamwork of the Korthoff Preston Motorsports crew and driver trio. After an impressive qualifying session led by Mikaël Grenier, the team secured a strong fourth-place starting position on the grid in the highly competitive GTD category. This excellent start positioned them well for the 10-hour endurance race and helped to solidify their standing in the championship.


Throughout the race, Korthoff Preston Motorsports displayed consistent pace and strategic precision. The drivers, including Mike Skeen and Kenton Koch, kept the car in contention, consistently running in the top three for extended periods of time. The team executed flawless pit stops and handled the race's varying conditions, including the transition to nighttime racing, with skill.

A strong finish to the 2024 IMSA season secured Korthoff Preston Motorsports’ third place in the final GTD standings for the 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, as well as a third-place finish in the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup. Their performance throughout the season highlighted their competitive edge and ability to contend at the highest level of GTD racing.
