KORTHOFF PRESTON MOTORSPORTS ANNOUNCES DYNAMIC DRIVER LINEUP AND EXCITING DEVELOPMENTS FOR THE 2024 IMSA WEATHERTECH SEASON

Korthoff Preston Motorsports (KPM) is thrilled to unveil its formidable driver lineup for the upcoming 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season, fielding the No. 32 Mercedes-AMG. With a talented roster of drivers and a brand-new Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO, KPM is gearing up for an exciting year of racing.

Since becoming incorporated in 2022, KPM earned 2 podium finishes in its inaugural season, including a 3rd place finish in the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona and a 2nd place finish in the 12 Hours of Sebring, finishing the 2022 season 3rd in the GTD Championship. In their second full season in 2023, KPM secured the IMEC Championship, marking their remarkable journey through the four-race, 52-hour endurance series.

KPM’s 2024 driver lineup consists of Maximilian Götz (Endurance Rounds), Mikael Grenier (Full Season), Kenton Koch (Endurance Rounds), and Mike Skeen (Full Season).

Returning driver, Mike Skeen, a seasoned racer with a proven track record, brings his experience and skill to the team for the entirety of the season. He has competed in a variety of racing series, including IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Pirelli World Challenge, and the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Notable successes include winning the Pirelli World Challenge GT Class Championship, finishing on the podium at the prestigious 24 Hours at Daytona endurance race with KPM in 2022, and securing the IMEC Championship in 2023.

Mikael Grenier, a talented driver with a passion for motorsports, joins KPM for another full season, adding depth and speed to the team's lineup. A Canadian driver with over a decade of experience, Mikael has competed in various touring car and sports car categories. Beginning his career in karting, Grenier has competed in series such as the DTM in Europe, SPA 24 Hours in Belgium, GT World Challenge Europe, as well as the Asian Le Mans Series. The last two seasons, Grenier competed in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Rolex 24 at Daytona, where he finished 2nd place in 2021 and was a part of the KPM IMEC Championship team in 2023.

Kenton Koch, known for his endurance racing prowess, will be an invaluable asset during the grueling endurance rounds of the IMSA WeatherTech Championship. Kenton's skill set and experience make him particularly valuable in these endurance rounds, where consistency, stamina, and adaptability are essential. In 2023, Koch returned to the IMSA SportsCar Championship, taking part in the Michelin Endurance Cup as Korthoff Preston Motorsports' third driver. No stranger to the podium, Kenton took the top step in 2016 at the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona in LMPC. Koch is also a driver in the GT4 America Series season, with Team Random Vandals Racing. In the GT4 competition, Koch and his co-driver claimed three race victories and seven additional podium finishes, ending the season third in the Silver Cup classification.

“Had a lot of fun this year as one of the endurance drivers! Those rounds are grueling for the team and to have gotten the championship says a lot about KPM.”

— Kenton Koch, Driver No. 30, Korthoff Preston Motorsports

The skilled Maximilian Götz will be joining the team for a second year for the prestigious Daytona 24, where his expertise will be pivotal in the team's pursuit of victory. Götz is a German racing driver who most recently spent two seasons in the ADAC GT Masters with Mercedes customer team HTP Motorsport. Previously, he won the Blancpain Sprint Series with the same team in 2014 and the ADAC GT title with MS Racing in 2012. Between two stints with HTP Motorsport, Götz spent two seasons (2015 and 2016) with Mercedes in the DTM.

“I am really looking forward to racing again with a team that I really enjoy racing with. Last year at Daytona we had the lead for many, many hours, so there is great potential in the driver lineup and on the engineer and mechanics side. It is on my bucket list to win Daytona, so I am really looking forward to catching up with the guys soon to get ready for this big race.”

— Maximilian Götz, Driver No. 32, Korthoff Preston Motorsports

KPM's drivers boast impressive statistics, with a combined record of numerous podium finishes and race victories. The team is confident that this lineup will be a force to be reckoned with throughout the 2024 season.

In addition to the driver lineup, KPM is introducing a brand-new Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO to its arsenal. This cutting-edge machine will make its debut during the Daytona Test in December.

KPM is excited to welcome back these talented drivers for the 2024 season and has full confidence that this lineup will lead the team to success.

Korthoff Preston Motorsports is eager to build on its 2023 success and make a lasting impact in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship for the 2024 season. Stay tuned for an action-packed 2024, where KPM's skill, determination, and the roaring No. 32 Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO promise to set the racetrack ablaze.
